Battlesbury Camp, Wilts, 2017: The formation Battlesbury Camp measures approximately 200-220ft in diameter and is a variation of the quintuplet (five dots on a dice) pattern. Different interpretations of this design have been an almost constant in crop circle design since its earliest times and have appeared regularly in one form or another for over twenty five years. This variation is particularly elegant, the wide bands that make up the pattern are like ribbon twisting around the circles. It ‘of course’ squares the circle as just about all quintuplet crop circles tend to do which is quite some coincidence! Although this pattern is a quintuplet, geometrically it is essentially four-fold in nature: Four is the number of Material Reality, Mother Substance, the Earth. Because this formation Squares the Circle, it is an implicit Sacred Space – a space where Heaven (circle) and Earth (square) meet on equal terms – or as near to it as is possible.
