Woodway Bridge, All Cannings, Wilts
We were taken by surprise when this formation was reported. We had thought the crop circle season was over. So many of the fields are now harvested, so to find one still standing was lucky.
This formation measures 130-150ft in diameter and is in very ripe wheat. It’s a double ring which contains thirteen arcs and thirteen small circles placed on those arcs. There is a single satellite circle outside the main perimeter of the formation too. The flattened circle nested in the arcs is particularly beautiful with radial and concentric lays at work.
The meaning of this formation remains elusive – some have suggested a code – but this is far from certain. The double use of the number thirteen is interesting. Thirteen is the number of transformation, and is a number seem with regularity in the very best crop circles. If this is the final formation of the season, the integration and emphasis on this number is exciting – what transformations await?!
FYI: This formation features in our 2016 Crop Circle Photo Box-Set and you can see a section of 10 x 15 inch Photo Enlargements from this season here and 20 x 30 inch Photo Enlargements here. Every sale helps us continue our work.
Please Help to keep us Flying: If you have enjoyed this site, looking at our pictures and information please consider making a small donation to keep us flying. There are so few of us left regularly recording the circles it’s really important that we continue. And while some now use drones to record the circles, it is important that there are still images taken from aircraft where the best quality camera equipment can be used and images that include the broad vista of the landscape can be taken. This kind of photography is expensive and it gets harder with each passing year to raise the funds we need to continue our work, but if everyone who regularly looked at this website made a small donation we would meet the funds we need. You can make a donation here.

Is there code in the dots? Time will tell. There are 13 arcs inside the double ring, and thirteen small circles on those arcs. In addition there is one small ‘satellite’ circle outside the perimeter of the formation. Check back for images and more info as I have it.
