Ackling Dyke 2014: The marvellous crop circle at Ackling Dyke was one of a group of formations that employed five-fold geometry during the 2014 season. Here a central pentagram is complimented with a group of crescent moons, one between each of the points of the star. The general effect is one of a magical sigil, or perhaps a lunar symbol. Five is the number of life, it is found in the proportions of all living things and gives birth to both the Golden section and Fibonacci numbers. Five is also linked with the divine feminine through the star/planet Venus (which creates a pentagram around the Earth as it travels around the solar system – one pentagram every eight years), this linked with the lunar symbolism, gives this formation a powerful ‘feminine feel’.
This image shows an overhead view of the circle.
