Marten (nr Marlborough), Wilts.

Detail & Location: This circle was first reported on the 23rd July 2024 in a field of wheat near Marten Wilts, close to the earlier crop circle at Wilton Windmill (read more). We could clearly see the windmill while flying over this circle.

Visiting: Sadly for the farmer, this is the second crop circle to appear on his land this summer and therefore, understandably, he has asked that no one enter this circle. Please respect his wishes. 

Location & History: This crop circle lies close to both the Roman road and to Botley Hill earthworks. There is a long-barrow and smaller disc and bell barrows nearby – Great Botley Copse Longbarrow is a bronze age burial barrow. You can read more about the historical earthworks here. 

About this crop circle: This crop circle is a beautiful seven-fold mandala which I very much look forward to exploring and drawing.
