Milk Hill, Wilts. 

(near Alton Barnes and Stanton St. Bernard – above the White Horse)

Introduction: This crop circle was first reported on the 12th of July 2026. It is in a field of wheat and measures approximately 180ft in diameter.

Description: This is a rather simple, but elegant design. 

Flight: We were able to fly this circle a couple of days after its appearance and it was still in excellent condition. You can enjoy Steve’s great photography below, with additional shots from our friend Simon Young.

Visiting: You will need permission to enter this field from the farmer. As far as we know there is no current permission to enter this circle. Please read our downloadable PDF about visiting the crop circles responsibly. 

Location History: This particular field, above the Alton Barnes white horse, is the location of the famous Milk Hill ‘Galaxy’ of 2001 – one of the largest and most complex circles of all time. The location is absolutely stunning and is the highest place on the Wiltshire landscape. There have been a few circles here, the last I remember was in 2005. 

This particular landscape is brimming full of barrows and earthworks of all kinds. Adam’s Grave (nearby) is an ancient longbarrow – excavated and now in ruins. It is plain to see this landscape was very special to our ancestors. For many years this area was the heartland of the crop circle phenomenon, but no longer. The circles have all but left this part of Wiltshire. This circle was a welcome reminder of its past.
