Welcome to our online Lectures!

Along with our annual Crop Circle Conference and Crop Circle Explorer courses we aim to dive-deeply into different aspects of the crop circle phenomenon in an ongoing series of online lectures. 

Each year we offer a series of one-off lectures which will cover a wide variety of facets of the whole phenomenon. We draw directly from our 30+ years experience within the subject, to inform, enthuse and hopefully inspire, everyone that comes to this subject with curiosity and an open-mind. 

Our lectures will be sumptuously illustrated from Steve Alexanders’s extensive photographic archive and many of Karen Alexander’s paintings and illustrations! 

We will add each lecture to our ‘Events Video Archive’ so that they can be enjoyed into the future and hopefully stand as a record of the thoughts and experiences of many people who spent time in and around the crop circles.

After thirty years of exploring the most breathtaking formations and exploring their geometry, symbolism, placement in the landscape, and yes, their effect upon those that come into contact with the phenomenon, it feels right that I put before you some ideas I have long been thinking about. These ideas coalesce a process of interaction with the phenomenon that I’m sure will not only resonate with many of you, but that you may also recognise, perhaps from your own experience?

‘Experience’ is the key word here, because there are a great number of people who, for want of a better description, are ‘crop circle experiencers’. That is, they are people for whom their interaction with the crop circles is a starting point for a journey into a higher, wider, deeper and more mysterious reality, and they are forever changed by it.

I consider this aspect of the phenomenon to be utterly real, self-evident and incredibly important. Their experiences include encounters with the paranormal in connection with the crop circles, synchronicity, precognitive dreams, light phenomena and strange animal encounters to name but a few. Whatever is happening to these people, seems to be somehow heightened by their involvement with the crop circle phenomenon.

THE CALL

For many people the crop circles represent a beautiful art form, perhaps a mystery, something that is nostalgically evoked by sultry summer days, fields of warm golden wheat, the smell of meadowsweet on the air, the burbling chatter of lapwings in the high blue vault of the sky. Some may even take a annual summer weekend trip to the Wiltshire, or Hampshire countryside to visit with whatever circles they may find. To sit in a circle is a rare experience, where you may sit in either deep contemplation alone, or in deep conversation with other fellow pilgrims – communing with the rhythms of nature  – while simultaneously reaching-up to contemplate the cosmos. It’s a beautiful thing to do, almost like prayer to all that is scared and mysterious in the world.

For those familiar with the phenomenon, it’s easy to forget the visual power of the circles; their stark commanding alienness amongst our soft, curving hillsides and expansive rolling fields. Here is something, that putting it plainly, should not be here. Like a giant finger coming down from above and leaving its print on the landscape. The circles are at first encounter completely incongruent, they present us with an abstract orderliness of form, in marked contrast to the seemingly easy, rambling composition of nature herself. Here is a level of order imposed upon us, that is at once as arresting to the mind as as it is alluring to the eye.

Some are simply unmoved by the circles, some just mildly curious however, for some, their first encounter with the crop circles is a completely different affair, simply put, they feel ‘A Call’. For these souls, this isn’t about a brief weekend in the sunshine, its a ground shaking, perspective compromising, force of energy delivered straight to the heart. In that single heartbeat they are forever changed. I have heard this story so many times I have literally lost count, for those that are naturally attuned it can annihilate the world for just a fraction of a second, and return you to a reality in which your centre of gravity its altered. Forever. The circles phenomenon shocks us out of our everyday, then it casts a wide net to capture all those who hear The Call…

THIS LECTURE

In this lecture I will set out an 11-step guide to engaging the crop circle phenomenon, curated from my long experience of the subject and my interactions with many others who have shared their own stories with me. 

The 11 steps look like this:

  • The Internal Re-alignment
  • The Presence 
  • Moving Beyond Contact
  • The World in the World

I believe this is the first time that this process has been identified, described and offered as a single narrative that describes the interaction that some experience as a result of their interaction with the crop circles. It also points to a meaning and message behind our engagements with the phenomenon.

If you have been curiously drawn to the crop circles yourself, are intrigued about the interactive side of the phenomenon and its possible link to other paranormal phenomena and high-strangeness – then this is the lecture for you.

Our online lecture series are are an open invitation to anyone wishing to explore and uncover the crop circle phenomenon. You’ll receive a warm, appreciative welcome whether you are a complete novice, an experienced veteran, or anywhere in between.

Our aim is to continue to build and offer a genuine sense of community – with an opportunity for your questions to our presenters and discussion between the group and presenter at the end of each session.

About your Host & Presenter: 

Karen Alexander Karen is a long time circles researcher of over 30 years (1990-present day), who has for many years brought a thoughtful and introspective touch to researching the crop circles. A highly respected and influential speaker and writer, her work seamlessly fuses sacred art, spirituality, psychology and philosophy – the scholarly and the intuitive. Karen is perhaps best known as the writer behind the annually published Crop Circle Year Books (1999 – 2020) and Crop Circles: Signs, Wonders & Mysteries (Arcturus, 2006 & updated in 2009 & 2013). She is also known for her hand drawn images and paintings of the crop circles which are widely admired and collected. Karen has a background in counselling and psychotherapy and has facilitated and taken part in a number of groups and projects over the last 25 years looking specifically into crop circles and their connection with consciousness.

I find these courses very interesting and exciting, because I feel drawn to this phenomenon of exploring crop circles and nobody else is even interested among my friends.   During these courses we can talk about anything connected to the crop circles.   Many people with different backgrounds can give their different points of view.  The range is from scientific measuring angles, ratios, etc. to the mystical thoughts invoked when you do a journey to the heart of a particular circle.  Connections have been projected to the Universe or astrologically proposed.   The possible understanding is infinite and maybe beyond our human comprehension – Sandra

This was my second course with Crop Circle Explorers and it was a great experience – unique in fact.  I came away feeling as though I had visited the Ogbourne St George formation in person after perusing the maps and wonderful panoramic photographs of the Wiltshire landscape, shared by Karen in her introduction to the course.  I gained an appreciation of the setting of the crop circle within the larger context of its relationship to the ancient landmarks and monuments, of which there are many within the area. I really enjoy the balance of presentations, meditations, geometry lessons, mandala-making and sharing time in these courses; there are also excellent resources which are downloadable to keep.  The course coordinators, Karen and Geoff are warm and wise hosts who welcome each participant and create a group ethos where experiences relating to the crop circle may be shared and respectfully heard.
