Welsh Way, nr Barnsley, Gloucestershire

This unusual design was another to appear this year in the county of Gloucestershire. A beautifully woven centre circle is surrounded by three arcs of differing lengths coming from a central column. Two arcs end in a small T-bar, while the third ends in a small circle. Its meaning (if any) remains for now, enigmatic. Woven floor lays seem something of a theme for 2014 and a standing tuft in the centre of the formation can clearly be seen from the aerial photographs. The entire design measures approximately 150ft in diameter and is in wheat.
